Sierra Car Care and Tire Centers are locally owned and operated by Steve and Laurie Yarborough. As a locally and family owned business, we are proud to be a neighborhood service station who puts special focus on supporting our customers and our community. Our experienced team seeks to provide exceptional service, whether we are taking care of your auto repair needs or supplying gasoline at our very best prices.

Our Owners

Since 1975, Steve Yarborough has been selling gas and servicing vehicles in the Reno area at multiple locations. Steve grew up in the full-service auto repair shop industry as the son of a Unocal 76 Dealer in Southern California. Since the age of 12, Steve has been actively working in and operating service stations. His love of all motorized vehicles; buying, fixing, restoring and collecting, along with his love of people, business experience and education has made for a very successful combination. After 5 years of ministerial school with a masters degree in consciousness, Steve has become a licensed ordained minister for his local church.

Laurie and Steve have been married since 1989 and has been involved in the service station business ever since. She never would have imagined a life filled with so many motorcycles, hot rods, show n’ shines and auto related trade shows, she admits it has been a lot of fun! Steve and Laurie have three children, who are their heroes and inspiration.

Ever committed to their community, the Yarboroughs are very involved in their church and service-based organizations.
